Learnist

The 'Learnist' app is generally appropriate for 8th-12th grades. The user should be aware, however, that advertising pop ups do appear.(some may not be appropriate for younger viewers.)

Learnist acts as a magnet that pulls in Internet website publications on major topics that the user has specified. It draws from videos, ebooks, maps, blogs, Wikipedia articles, YouTube, BBC, and assorted web pages.

It requires opening an account. The user can learn from others. Action options involve 'sharing', 'commenting', and 'following'.

Its primary intent is to offer additional research to be read and studied. It should prove to be inspirational and encourage users to delve even deeper into the subject matter.

Instructions for use can be found on YouTube.

Example: For the topic of history, these articles were some of the offerings-Transportation in the 1800's, Meiji Restoration, Columbian Exchange, Music in 1800's, and Timelines for History.
