The first thing that came to my mind when reading this was a connection with the Draw it section of this app to the guest speaker, Joyce, this morning. She spoke of allowing students to draw a quick sketch to demonstrate their understanding, and then allowing them to verbally elaborate on it. The Draw it section of the app would be a great tool to incorporate this idea.
